This new Obi report builds on our original January 2026 analysis of autonomous rideshare pricing, examining how Tesla Robotaxi, Waymo, Uber, and Lyft pricing evolved during the first months of 2026. Using Obi’s Intelligent Pricing API, we conducted a new large-scale analysis of rideshare pricing and availability data collected between March 1 and April 14, 2026, across the San Francisco Bay Area. The report compares average ride prices, price-per-mile metrics, and pricing volatility for Tesla Robotaxi, Waymo, UberX, and Lyft Standard, highlighting how autonomous rides are becoming more expensive while Tesla continues to maintain a significant price advantage. The dataset was generated from organic searches within the Obi app, ensuring direct comparisons between providers for identical pickup and destination pairs. This report also explores the increasing use of dynamic pricing models within autonomous rideshare services and the broader implications for the future economics of mobility.
